Abstract

Drawing on a case study of a construction company in Lagos, Nigeria, this paper sheds light on the HRM practices which are perceived to enhance business performance. The study shows that HRM routines such as the use of personality tests in recruitment and selection, performance appraisals, training, and development of HR strategies to attract and retain competent employees are perceived to have most impact on business performance.
